Daily Diary

After a rather cloudy start, cloud cleared to leave good spells of sunshine. Mainly dry by day, although some rain did fall as a front arrived from the north later in the evening. Temperatures around normal, with moderate winds. Pressure remained steadfastly low. Elsewhere, heavy snow affected Scotland during the early morning causing travel disruption, and snow on a second system further S (the main low centre analysed) affected parts of eastern England, again with some minor travel disruption.
