Daily Diary

A fine start to the day with sunny spells. Cloud quickly developed during the morning, with a band of heavy showers arriving associated with a marked trough which came through at around 1045Z. This heralded a slightly more settled but still unstable afternoon; further showers then arriving in advance of a convective occlusion which brought some heavy rain just before 1800Z Rain then continued into the evening, before turning clearer overnight. SW'ly becoming W'ly winds, temperatures stubbornly a little below the seasonal average.
