Cloudy with rain overnight, this clearing through during the morning to leave brightening skies. Heavy, thundery showers developed associated with a SW peninsular convergence zone, which was driven east by an approaching occlusion across the region. Conditions improved/skies cleared later in the day as fresher, cooler air moved in. Light to moderate W'ly winds, temperatures around average for the time of year.
