Daily Diary The day the heatwave broke. An upper front and associated thick medium cloud layers, brought a little bit of drizzly rain during the morning, this then cleared to warm sunshine before torrential thundery downpours developed widely across the SW. One such shower hit here during the afternoon, giving almost 8mm of rain in an hour. These cleared during the evening, leaving a clear night, before further rain arrived in the early hours associated with the low and occluded front to the SW. Rather warm, but significantly cooler than previous days, with light winds (gusty in showers). RoostCam South Timelapse | RoostCam North Timelapse |
