Daily Diary A very wet day, following a cold period overnight and a dusting of snow (sticking to cars and roofs), zonally oriented frontal zones very slowly moved north, introducing slightly milder air and persistent rain for most of the day. Overcast, very cold for the time of year, with variable winds. West Cornwall recorded temperatures of PS11, whilst Devon was around PS04, very large thermal gradient across the far SW of the UK.
