Daily Diary

Mixture of clear and cloudy spells overnight, with some rain associated with an occlusion coming southwards. This bounded the Arctic air mass arriving from the north, and heralded a beautiful day, dry with plenty of sunshine and a little bit of fair weather cloud. Moderate NW'ly winds became night, leading into a clear night, although some showers did blow through during mid-evening associated with a weak semi-baroclinic feature. Temperatures around average by day, but a cold night with temperatures close to a frost.
