Very windy as Storm Gerritt crossed the UK. Persistent moderate to heavy rain moved through during the morning, clearing to showers during the afternoon, with multiple cold fronts moving from W to E. More widely, strong winds and for northern Scotland, snow, brought disruption, and a tornado impacted Stalybridge near Manchester damaging some 100 homes. Continuing the theme of recent days here at the Roost, dull, and very mild.
