Daily Diary A few showers first thing quickly cleared, leaving a mainly fine morning and most of the afternoon. A convective occlusion arrived from the W late afternoon and brought some rain. Winds strengthened overnight as Storm Alex developed over Biscay and swung NE'wards towards the S of the UK. Warm in the sunshine with light winds by day.
