Overnight rain cleared by early morning, with a dry spell and a few cloud breaks. However, this didn't last long, as further rain associated with low pressure and accompanying wrap-around occlusion trundled across the area. Windy too. Snow fell on the northern edge of the system, where it met the Arctic air mass over Central/Northern Britain.
