Daily Diary Cloudy start, with a cold, moderate north-easterly wind. Cloud broke up for a time during the afternoon to longer sunny spells, but returned by the evening. Dry, with increasingly low dew-point air associated with a polar continental flow. Further east, Storm Darcy brought heavy snowfall to parts of East Anglia and the south-east, whilst snow showers affected other eastern areas further north.
