Daily Diary Overnight rain, which was heavy for short time, cleared by dawn, with cloud layers gradually clearing eastwards. Sunny spells developed, with a few heavy showers, one of which gave some small hail. Showers cleared late afternoon, leaving a clear evening and first half of the night. Rather mild, although temperatures fell sharply early evening, before slowly recovering as winds backed off to the south. Otherwise, a moderate westerly wind.
