A fine start with hazy sunshine; a little bit of cloud developed during the morning but soon cleared, leaving increasingly clear blue skies and sunshine as the Saharan dust layer drifted away southwestwards. Despite the sunshine, temperatures down on recent days again given the increasingly cool and brisk NE'ly wind, but still around average for the time of year.
