Daily Diary

Touch of frost overnight but temperatures slowly warmed up before dawn as an area of rain and sleet (some snow over Wales and the Midlands) arrived from the NW. This gave a reasonable amount of rain, followed by some heavy showers of rain and hail during the morning which became much more isolated with plenty of sunny spells during the afternoon. Clear, cold night developing. Temperatures by day a little below normal, with a moderate NW'ly wind.
