Daily Diary The persistent low and rain band from the last couple of days cleared away SE, leaving a largely cloudy day with a few showers within rather variable, slack flow within a col. High/medium cloud invaded from the SW during the evening, as an organised band of rain associated with another Atlantic system approached, this arriving overnight. NW'ly surface winds steadily veered round to the S during the early morning, whilst temperatures were again pegged back below average for the time of year.
