Daily Diary Frequent showers, merging into a longer spell of rain associated with a convective occlusion during the morning, cleared E through the afternoon to leave more in the way of sunny spells but also further showers. Showers developed quite widely across the UK, with some flooding reported, particularly in the Bolton area. And parts of S Devon and Dorset notched up 100mm for the week.
