Daily Diary

Very unsettled with outbreaks of rain associated with the second deep area of Low Pressure this month swinging across the UK. Rainfall totals here were modest, whereas most other parts of the UK (and high ground in the SW) saw larger amounts (over 100mm at one gauge in the Lakes for example). Overcast with strong SW becoming W'ly winds, a few fleeting glimpses of blue sky did develop post front. Widespread gales around coasts and hills in the W and S. Rather cool once again.
