Daily Diary A rather cloudy day but with some sunshine, mainly during the morning and again just before dusk. Lots of excellent convection around, and with light and variable winds near the surface but decent column shear some good structures were observed. A brief shower occurred mid-afternoon. Further east, the Isle of Wight was impacted by a convergence line which brought 120mm to Ventnor, causing flooding and landslides. Temperatures a little below the August average.
