Daily Diary Some light overnight rain, leading to a fine start. A spell of thicker cloud layers came through, associated with an old front during the morning, which heralded the gradual arrival of a cooler, drier air mass, although obviously offset by daytime heating. Good sunny spells for the rest of the day, leading into a clear, and "much colder than recently" night. Dry, with a light W'ly wind, and temperatures slightly above average for the time of year.
