Daily Diary Heavy rain cleared overnight to leave a blustery and unstable SW'ly wind with sunny spells and a few showers. Slightly colder than average and notably feeling so in the wind. Further afield, the cold front itself produced a remarkable mesolow (clearing the east coast on the 12Z analysis), and a swathe of very strong winds (G76 knots at Portland Bill) from Lyme Bay up towards Lincolnshire, along with a corridor of heavy rain. A clear night followed with winds gradually easing down. RoostCam South Timelapse | RoostCam North Timelapse |
