Daily Diary

A much milder night that the preceding, with plenty of cloud cover. Dry and mild by day with some very limited sunny breaks, and a slowly strengthening W to WSW'ly wind. Some rain arrived by evening associated with a weak and fairly drizzly cold front. Further north a deep depression gave coastal gales, and severe gales later associated with the cold conveyor, leading to some coastal impacts and transport disruption.
