Daily Diary Overnight rain associated with an upper occlusion splitting forward quickly cleared during the morning, with a mixed day of sunny spells and showery rain following. A couple of surface fronts, marked by pressure kicks and temperature falls, came through, the main feature leading to a more significant temperature drop arriving around dusk. Mild, with a moderate S'ly wind, veering W'ly after the first surface front at around midday. Cold night following, whilst Storm Barra (L 1009) seen developing in the mid-Atlantic on the 12Z ASXX.
