Daily Diary Overnight cloud and rain slowly cleared south during the early-mod morning period, leaving a cover of medium and high cloud layers which gradually thinned and broke around lunchtime, leading to some sunny spells developing. This led into a clear night, although a few passing showers early evening associated with the convergence line in the N'ly flow which was focussed just to the west. Much colder than recent days, with temperatures slightly below the average for the time of year. Variable winds during the morning but settled into a light NW'ly by the afternoon.
