Daily Diary Mild and windy overnight, and mostly broken or overcast skies during the daytime, with a few drizzly showers but also some brighter spells... typical warm sector conditions really. Weak cold front arrived during the evening, this linked back to Storm Malik which produced some very strong winds across Scotland during the morning, 148mph on top of Cairn Gorm summit, and at lower levels 87mph at Inverbervie on the east coast of Scotland, with plenty of impacts and sadly two fatalities. The cold front here led to clearing skies into the evening, and clear, fairly calm night. Moderate W'ly becoming light and variable, mild by day but turning frosty overnight.
