Daily Diary A clear, cold night with light winds led into a fine, sunny start, which lasted for much of the day with patchy cirrus around at times. Some cloud spread over from the SW during the afternoon, giving sunny spells. Clear, but increasingly windy overnight, winds picking up as Storm Corrie rattled across the north of the UK generating gusts in excess of 100mph at mountain sites, and unofficial low level sites.
