Daily Diary Low Pressure began to encroach from the W... band of thundery rain spread into W Cornwall and moved NNE towards Wales, but here extensive high and medium cloud layers were noted, including asperitas. This broke up later in the morning/early afternoon, allowing some good sunny spells, before returning again mid-late afternoon. A few spots of rain occurred later in the evening, but most notable rain occurred overnight. Winds from the S allowed temperatures to start to climb higher than recent days, becoming rather warm.
