An overcast and very warm start to the day with an equal record high minimum temperature. Some drizzly rain arrived during the morning, associated with a cold front which brought fresher conditions, more broken cloud/sunny spells and a period of fantastic wave cloud/lenticulars. Cloud cleared during the evening, leading into a clear and much cooler evening and night. Moderate SW becoming W to NW wind, temperatures a little above average for the time of year.
