Daily Diary

Overnight showers cleared quickly, with a chilly start. The first settled and dry day for some time, as a ridge of high pressure built into the cold air - ahead of a frontal system being driven E by an extremely deep area of Low Pressure over the Atlantic (ex-hurricane Martin). Plenty of sunshine, and clear spells leading into the evening. Cloud gradually invaded from the W overnight, ahead of the frontal zone.
