Ridge of high pressure extending from the very strong Greenland anticyclone, maintained a settled and dry picture. Cloud overnight held the temperature up, with some sunny spells developing by day, leading into a clear night. Less cloud the following night, with temperatures quickly falling below freezing leading to the first proper frost of this cold spell. Rather cold, with a light NE'ly wind.
