An overnight frost in the small hours but temperatures began to rise as rain associated with a frontal system and low (named Storm Louis by Meteo France) sliding to the south. This pivoted across the south of the country, leading to a very wet and overcast day. Temperatures around average, with light winds, although these gradually gathered strength, especially the following night as the low began to pull away.
