Dry and chilly start, but rain arrived from the SW during the morning leading to a wet spell lasting for a few hours, with heavy rain at times. Further showers followed, before clear spells developed into the evening and overnight period. Temperatures dipped close to freezing, however cloud and some showers arrived during the small hours of the night, lifting temperatures once again. Moderate to fresh winds, with some strong gusts in association with the front during the afternoon, falling light during the evening.
