Daily Diary

Overnight rain cleared E to leave a dry day with some sunny spells, particularly during the morning. A thick veil of high and medium cloud spread up from the SE associated with a frontal wave, although rain stayed to the E. Further rain associated with a cold front and an outbreak of cold polar air arrived during the early hours of the following morning. Mainly light, S'ly winds, which strengthened markedly ahead of the cold front.
