Another overcast day, mild overnight and a dry start but rain arrived from the SW by mid-morning associated with the warm front of Storm Pierrick to the SW. Rain lasted through the afternoon, clearing to the N by early evening but with increasingly strong S'ly winds - a few showers and thunderstorms also broke out across the far SE of the UK. Strong NW'ly winds developed on the backside of the low as it cleared NE overnight, along with more rain. A rather cool day, due to the unsettled weather.
