Another cloudy day with light and variable winds. Rain began to move up from the south during the afternoon, and turned persistent and heavy at times overnight. More widely across southern England elevated storms broke out with prolific lightning as a warm plume was advected NW'wards, but rainfall totals weren't quite as high given the storms were moving quickly. A cold day, but temperatures a little above average overnight.
