Daily Diary A second showery cold front blew through overnight, leaving a mainly fine but rather cool day with good sunny spells. Moderate W winds became a light SW ahead of a frontal wave (which developed into Storm Lilian overnight, affecting northern England), which brought thickening cloud during the evening, and eventually rain overnight, and became rather persistent through until the next morning.
