Rain overnight, persistent and at times heavy, cleared during the morning to leave a period of overcast skies. Cloud began to break with some sunshine by lunchtime, but with a band of showers on a secondary feature also blowing through. Skies cleared more decisively following this, with a fine second half of the day, long sunny spells and just a few fair weather cumulus. Cool both by day and by night with a Pm air flow, and moderate W'ly winds.
