An overcast day, with a dry start, before rain arrived associated with a wrap around occlusion sinking SW'wards during the afternoon. The rain was very heavy at times, especially at first, and continued for much of the rest of the day. Rain cleared to the E during the evening, leaving a quiet but cloudy night. Temperatures by day were below average, with a light to moderate wind, variable in direction but generally from the W.
