Daily Diary Sunny spells and heavy showers blowing through on a S to SW'ly wind, with multiple shower bands revolving around a deep area of low pressure with transferred W'wards as a filling feature. Hurricane Kir, appearing on the chart, did at one point look as though it might threaten the UK, but the aforementioned deep low eventually suppressed it southwards, into France.
