Daily Diary A strong Atlantic storm moved to the NW of Scotland, throwing rain/strong winds across the UK and leading to a thoroughly wet and unpleasant day. The day did start fine however, with a nice sunrise but medium/low cloud soon invaded from the W, heralding the rain. A sharp cold front came though during the evening. Moderate to strong SSW'ly winds became a light to moderate SW'ly post front, but was followed by a frontal wave which continued to bring rain and drop pressure before finally clearing the following morning. Over 100mm of rain was observed in a couple of locations of South Wales, and Dartmoor. Very mild, exceptionally so overnight. RoostCam South Timelapse | RoostCam North Timelapse |
