A weak ridge of high pressure between weather systems gave a predominantly fine day, with sunny spells and some large cumulus building up during the late morning/early afternoon. Cloud decayed away into the evening, with high cloud thickening from the SW, this ahead of another area of rain which arrived overnight. Light and variable winds becoming moderate S to SE'ly, temperatures around average but mild overnight.
